About the Role
WPPCO is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should have a background in working for a contracting company, with specific experience in the Saudi Arabian market.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
Generate financial reports for management to support decision-making processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and provide insightful analysis.
Cost Control:
Track project costs and expenses related to contracting activities.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial targets are met.
Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian tax regulations.Work with external auditors during tax audits.
Vendor Management:
Oversee the accounts payable process, including verification and approval of vendor invoices.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and resolve any financial issues.
Experience Requirements:
Proven work experience as an Accountant in a contracting company.
Familiarity with Saudi Arabian accounting practices and regulations is a significant advantage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
Skills:
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
